Chocolate Chip Cookies
Total: 1 hr 15 min
Active: 40 min
Yield: 1 1/2 to 2 dozen cookies
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (see Cook's Note)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon fine salt
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the air fryer to 325°F and line the bottom of the air fryer insert with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat the sugars and butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Scrape down the bowl with a spatula, then beat in the egg and vanilla. Reduce the mixer speed to low, add the flour mixture, and beat until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips with a wooden spoon.
Scoop slightly heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, roll into balls, and place them on the parchment-lined insert, arranging them at least 1 inch apart. Air-fry in batches (about 6 at a time) for 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown. Let the cookies cool in the insert for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
