2 plain bagels, split
1/2 cup jarred tomato sauce
4 slices provolone (about 4 ounces)
1 cup shredded mozzarella (about 4 ounces)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Optional toppings, including mini sliced pepperoni, sliced roasted red peppers, sliced pitted black olives or banana pepper rings
Freshly grated Parmesan, for serving

Place the split bagels, cut-side up, in a 6-quart air fryer and cook at 350°F for about 2 minutes until lightly toasted. Remove the bagels and top each with 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce, 1 slice of provolone, 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella, 1/4 teaspoon of oregano, and 1/8 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Add any other optional toppings if using. Return the bagels to the air fryer and cook at 350°F for an additional 4 to 5 minutes, until the bagels are well toasted and the cheese is melted and beginning to brown. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve immediately.
